#RedMyLips: April 4 “Who to believe?”

#RedMyLips April 4

Ironically the author of this tweet, the editor of a magazine, went on to complain about other New Zealand media and how appalled she was that they were been biased, framing the accused badly by showing footage of him while intoxicated. My thanks for pointing out the irony of framing people ‘badly’ was to be blocked from viewing her Twitter account. Victim blaming/rape culture alive and well in Kiwi land.

Sexual violence is not a women’s issue, it is a human issue and affects all of us. The month long ‘RedMyLips’ campaign started in 2011 and aims to raise awareness and much needed discussion on this topic. This year is the first time I will participate, so check back daily as I post a new lip-smacking #RedMyLips pic.
